Founder, Slum & Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN) - Dr. Isaac Olufadewa
We believe that where people live should not determine whether they live or how long they live. Across Africa and beyond, preventable illness and avoidable deaths continue to thrive where systems are weakest, and where people are most underserved.
At SRHIN, we are changing this narrative through community-driven action, research, advocacy, and technology. We work with communities as partners, not as projects listening deeply, conducting needs assessments, strengthening local capacity, and co-creating solutions that are affordable, scalable, and rooted in dignity.
HEAL Society is an extension of this same commitment: raising a new generation of leaders who can carry health equity forward not only with passion, but with structure and measurable impact.

Senior Programs Officer, (HEAL Society) Slum & Rural Health Initiative - Toluwayemi Ayorinde
HEAL was built from a simple belief: young people don’t just need inspiration, they need structure. Across universities, I saw brilliant students with passion for health equity, but no clear system to turn that passion into leadership, research, innovation, and community action that lasts.
Through HEAL Society, we are building a global pipeline of student leaders who don’t just speak about health problems, they learn to design solutions, run projects, document impact, and grow communities that outlive them.
HEAL is not a title. It is a responsibility. And it is a movement we are building with intention: one campus, one country, one generation at a time.
